WINNERS AT VAAL
RACE 2: PROGRESS PLATE, 1800M
WINNER: NARTJIE
3bg Vercingetorix-Narjis by Galileo
Owners: Wigerbosdrift (Mary Slack), Mike de Kock, Colin Cordon, Charles Savage, Chris Haynes, Noeline Malherbe
Breeder: Al Adiyaat
Jockey: Callan Murray
Mdk comments: “Nartjie is a nice sort, progressive, he’s the type of horse that can win a feature. That is, if the handicapper doesn’t stop him. A pleasure, as always, to race with this partnership.
RACE 4: MAIDEN PLATE (F&M), 1600M
WINNER: LYRICAL DANCE
3ch f b Vercingetorix-Lyrical Linda by Jallad
Owner: Dave Maclean
Jockey: Callan Murray
Mdk comments: “She stepped up a notch today and that was encouraging. Once again well done to Dave Maclean, nice to have another winner for him.
