We haven’t forfotten to give thanks and praise to Sparkling Water’s handler, Job Motha, following her big win last week.

Job is a veteran employee of our stable, Diane remembers him “being here since the beginning”, and while he’s worked with many stable stars, the Durban July has eluded him until now.

There were many proud connections after Saturday’s spectacle, and Job’s heart was beating faster than most for a filly he adores.

Di told: “We don’t allocate specific horses to specific grooms. They’ll get a new two-year-old and an older horse every year, and some like to pick from a new bunch, but it’s mostly just a bit of luck involved for who gets the best ones. Job deserves his July win, a long-time faithful and hard-working enployee and good horseman!”

He adores her, really. This phot was taken 10 days prior to the July by Candiese Lenferna.
