ENBHARR (IRE) is starting to put things together well after a few promising runs following his Maiden win in January. The three-year-old colt by Fastnet Rock posted his second win in MR84 Handicap over 1800m at Turffontein’s inside track on Sunday.
Enbharr (orange silks), won well without being extended.
Enbharr ran on nicely from just off the pace and gave Randall Simons a fairly easy ride in what Mike de Kock considers to have been a competitive handicap. He said: “I thought this was quite a tough field and that Enbharr won so well is very encouraging. He is six months behind the rest and I say it ad nauseam, but these imports take their time to come to hand. Enbharr is starting to find his feet now, he’s developing into a decent sort and I think he will win us some nice races.”
Enbharr (IRE), by Fastnet Rock, is one of the best-bred runners in training. He’s a half-brother to Johannesburg, the UK and US Champion Two-Year-old colt of the Year in 2001. He was bought at Goffs in 2014 by Mike de Kock and Form Bloodstock’s Jehan Malherbe and syndicated to a group of owners including Mike, Mrs and Mrs Arun Chadha, Warne and Wendy Rippon, Paulo Do Carmo, Paulo Do Castro of Fazenda Mondesir and Noeline Malherbe.
