PACE and versatility are two attributes likely to bring many more wins to two-year-old filly Bang Sue, seen here winning her second race from three starts – a Juvenile Plate over 1200m on sand at the Vaal last week. She’s also won and placed on turf.
Jockey JP van der Merwe held the reins on Mary Slack’s filly – he was recently also successful for the stable on Bang Sue’s four-year-old half-sister Indira and Sheikh Hamdan’s Ataab.
Bang Sue is by Fort Wood from classic winner Rat Burana, bred by Wilgerbosdrift Stud.
Slack-owned import Honorine won a Pinnacle Plate over 1200m at Clairwood Saturday, rounding off another good week for the black-and-red silks.
