A win well deserved

Congratulations to Jessica and Steven Jell with a good Maiden win from Dupont Emerald over 1160m at Turffontein, Monday.

Dupont Emerald was the day’s popular banker for Pick 6 punters and she duly delivered, winning by 1.75-lengths at odds of 4-10, ridden by Muzi Yeni.

This wasn’t a strong field, but Dupont Emerald showed some heart when she came under pressure from Tipperary, and she raced away nicely at the end in a time of 67,78s. Dupont Emerald has given of her best in four career starts to date, she tries hard and on that alone has scope for more success in future.

She was bred by Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein, by Querari out of Ubiquitous Mantle, by Alhaarth.

David Dlamini and Muzi Yeni.
