Dave The King put up an impressive Durban July gallop last week and jockey Craig Zackey said: “I am very, very happy on today’s work (23 June 2023). He’s starting to settle down and just going in the right direction. He’s a runner, especially now that the weights stay down a bit.”
Said Mike de Kock: “The Cape’s three-year olds, for me, stand out. He’s from Cape form. (As for the pace), I would have no problem having him in front.”
Kathryn Santos, representing Ralphs Racing, who own the son of Global View with Gary Player and Larry Nestadt, said: “The excitement has started! Ralphs Racing, (along with the very best partners) have their very first runner in the Durban July!”
