The highly promising Mauritzfontein stallion Danon Platina has another highly promising daughter in White Pearl, who showed resillience in fighting off the smart sort Queen Of Camelot in a driving finish to a 1450m contest on the inside track at Turffontein.
Mike de Kock rates this filly highly, reflected confidence in his Betway preview and said afterwards: “She’s a good filly with a career ahead of her.”
Jockey Craig Zackey said: “White Pearl’s form was right, she ran a cracking second against colts first time out. She beat a really nice filly today and in fact the whole field looked like quality. She needs further, something to look forward to.”
White Pearl races for Arun Chada’s ASSM Racing Syndicate and Arun was on course to lead in the winner. He said: “I loved her when I saw her at the sale and we bought her. Well done to my partners Warne and Wendy (Rippon), Rennie (Price) and to Mike de Kock and his team.”
