A landmark win for the partnership

Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock (in headline pic with jockey Lachlan King) were especially chuffed with King Magnus’ win in Saturday’s Listed Cranbourne Cup, a prestigious event in their neck of the woods, and Mat said: “It’s very special. To think, in our first year as a partnership in Cranbourne to win the Cranbourne Cup, it’s amazing.”

Robbie said: “This is big. This is very special. To win your hometown Cup especially this year in our first as a partnership. The president of the club here, Neil Bainbridge and the team have all done a fantastic job so it is very, very special.”

Below, Robbie and Mat celebrate with Robbie’s wife Shiranee (left) and Mat’s partner Monique Mansour. Monique, incidentally, is expecting their first-born in February, and grandparents-to-be Mike and Diane de Kock are sharing in their excitement.
