WITH four wins from five starts, the latest handicap at the Vaal again in 55s and change, Al Sakeet is clearly on his way to the top.
Mike de Kock said about this three-year-old colt by VAR: “He’s a Group horse, we’ve taken him steadily through the divisions and his times are fast.
“He’s headed forn the top, but as said before he has his niggles so we’re hoping he stays sound.
“We’ll be looking at the Gr1 Mercury Sprint over 1200m at Greyville for him as a first test, but he’ll have to draw well for us to consider that. He will be track suited.”
Al Sakeet, bred by Pippa Mickleburgh, races for the estate of the late Sheikh Hamdan.
