August 4, 2020MIKE de Kock’s runner comments for the standside meeting at Turffontein on Sunday, 2 August, are:
Race 4:
MYNAGE is well, fitting her with a tongue tie and she has a money chance. However, on a line through our filly Integrity, Alec Laird’s Lady Amherst is the one to beat.
Race 6:
BARAK is a Maiden in a Merit rated race, a maiden giving 2 and 3-time winner weight. Handicapping leaves us and punters guessing. We were at level weights with Afraad, who beat us, and are at level weights again. As much as I think he’s got a winning chance, first time blinkers and track suited, it’s hard to predict, there are other runners better weighted.
Race 7:
RISK TAKER is a very difficult ride, she’s troublesome and not easy to predict, however, the youngster that rides her does a good job, he gets on with her, if she produces her last form she’ll be in with a shout.
Race 8:
BASSAM is well, I Iike him, he is in good form, but has a tough task from his draw.
