MIKE de Kock considers Dave Maclean’s Frosted Gold to have a chance in Sunday’s Gr2 KZN Guineas at Greyville.

He reported on Sunday morning: “He travelled very well and Frank Robinson will be saddling him for us.”

He said Frosted Gold enjoyed a good preparation: “He is fit and well. The mile is his optimum trip, he finished a good second to Ikigai in the Gauteng Guineas at Turffontein and the Greyville mile is easier.

“I am not sure about the KZN and Cape form runners against him, how good they will turn out to be, that is something the race will show, but Frosted Gold is expected to be competitive.”
