OWNER Dave MacLean’s good run of form continues, we were pleased to saddle another winner for him at Turffontein Saturday in Flower Alley’s daughter Milford Sound (21-4), who won her Maiden over 1600m on the inside track.
“She has got natural gate speed and we were in a good position behind the leader in the first part of the race. When I pulled her out at the 400m-mark she quickened well,” said jockey Diego De Gouveia.
Assistant trainer Alson Ndzilana said: “The jockeys have been telling us that Milford Sound needs 2000m, further than a mile, so this was a good win. Well done to the team at home.”
