FROSTED Gold (NZ)  was the stable’s first juvenile winner for the 2018/19 season. He won leading from start to finish in a 1000m contest at the Vaal, and looks to have a bright future.

Frosted Gold, one-way-traffic.

Frosted Gold almost broke the 58s mark as he strode clear to win by an easy two lengths and jockey Gavin Lerena, who didn’t need to look left or right, said: “He’s sensible, he’s got a good mind. He quickened well when I asked him.”

Frosted Gold is owned by Dave McLean and Mathew de Kock said: “This is the first winner we picked for Dave in Australia. He has a few runners in the yard and we’re happy to have results for him.

“Frosted Gold is speedy, a smart horse who will be prepared for the Juvenile features this Autumn.”

A handsome grey colt, Frosted Gold is by Vinery Stud’s All Too Hard, the Champion Three-Year-Old Colt in Australia in 2012/13 and a half-brother to Australia’s famous galloper Black Caviar.
