TWO-year-old Well Connected will be aimed at the KZN Yearling Sale Million on July Day after his commanding debut win over 1200m on the Polytrack at Greyville last Friday.
Well Connected galloped hard throughout and quickened to put two lengths between himself and the runner-up and Mike de Kock commented: “He was sent from Johannesburg, we don’t have many horses in Durban. He’s quite a robust hiorse and we had to geld him, he was going to hurt himself.
“We had to rush him a bit for the feature on July day and I didn’’t want to start him on the Polytrack but that’s the way things worked out.”
Mike added: “He is well connected, owned by a good bunch of people. This is the way to race, with friends, enjoying yourself. Only one of them, George, turned up today.”
“He’s smart, a lovely horse,” said jockey Anthony Delpech.
Well Connected, by Silvano from Over Bridget, races for Mike, Chris Gerber, Gary Grant, Chris Haynes, Marc Green, Noeline Malherbe, Dr John and Mrs Amanda McVeigh, George Ragunan, Gary Westwater and Mr P. Connellan.
