MATHEW de Kock’s popular Onamission Syndicate’s first winner Puget Sound has given shareholders a fun time so far – he returns to the track at Turffontein on Sunday in a race which should give us a fair idea of his ability.
Two-year-old Puget Sound lines up in Race 1 over 1450m on the inside track, alongside stable companion Mujallad and others.
Mathew said: “Puget Sound is in good form, working well after his rest. The race looks competitive. There are unraced horses, a feature placed runner and a R2-million colt (Orpheus) touted to be a champion.
“Puget Sound will definitely enjoy the extra and hopefully with Piere Strydom up we can see his best effort. If he finishes in the money we’ll be very satisfied.”
