YOUR HORSE
Puget Sound
A two-year-old bay colt by Sail From Seattle x La Bella Donna (x Trempolino), from Beaumont Stud, who raised SA’s superstar, Variety Club.
Puget Sound, R2R R1-million-plus candidate, ready to race!
Puget Sound is a recent R120 000 CTS Ready To Run Johannesburg sales purchase, hand-picked by the master himself, Mike de Kock. As noted, he qualifies for the R1 million race on Met day in Cape Town 28th January 2017, as well as the CTS Ready To Run race worth R2,5 million in November 2017.
Puget Sound is ready for his first run.
Puget Sound stretched out freely in his pre-sale breeze.
Mike commented: “I loved his action during his pre-sale gallop and he is a neat individual with plenty of scope.”
Puget Sound is by a group one producing sire Sail from Seattle. His mother La Bella Donna was a decent racehorse in her own right winning three races. She has produced two foals both of which are winners. She is a half sister to a group one placed mare in Brazil. This family is bred to win. SEE FULL PEDIGREE HERE.

Being an owner in MDK racing will mean that you get to come and spend time watching your thoroughbred grow with us at our state of the art training facility in Randjesfontein.
You will get to meet Mike de Kock himself, interact with world class jockeys and enjoy our amazing lifestyle that is working with these amazing animals. You will receive accreditation to join us in the parade ring before your horse races – which is very soon – and experience the thrill of owning real horsepower galloping down the track.
Making your dream affordable
We have come up with an innovative way to try and make your experience as inexpensive as possible.
MDK racing is offering Fifty (50) x one percent shares in Puget sound. The other 50 % is owned by MDK racing staff thus showing our belief in this horse.
To make this venture as easy as possible we have decided to value a one percent share in Puget Sound for one year in training. That fee is R3,228,30 (as broken down below).
Therefore you will only need to pay a once-off fee to be an owner in this future winner, for one year, and you will be billed a proportional training fee (depending on your number of shares) from your second year on.
Remember: You may purchase more than one share at a time or save up for future horses to be syndicated.
Horse racing is a lifestyle investment and to us the most excitement and exhilaration money can buy. Our aim is to make this the most enjoyable experience possible for you and your friends. Remember that no matter how small your shareholding is you will share a 100% in the thrill of owning and racing a magnificent thoroughbred racehorse.
