MIKE de Kock steps out an early runner in Race 2 over 1400m on dirt at Meydan in Dubai tonight. Dutchman Adrie de Vries gets his first ride for the yard.
Mazeed (USA) is a Street Cry colt that went to the Fasig Tipton Breeze-Up Sale in Kentucky earlier this year and was bought privately by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum after passing unsold. He’s a peach of a chestnut from a young Gone West mare who has already produced a Gr1 winner.
Mike said: “Mazeed was bought specifically for racing on dirt. He won his trial in Dubai recently. He looks a decent sort. We’re expecting a good run first time out.”
