BOLD Silvano’s son Bold Rex bounced right back to his best after a disappointing run in the Vaal Grand Heritage recently.
Bold Rex stayed on well to win a MR84 Handicap over 1600m at the Vaal Classic Track, Tuesday, ridden by Muzi Yeni.
Mathew de Kock commented: “”Bold Rex ran below expexctations in the Grand Heritage but there was a draw bias on the day and the way the race was run just didn’t suit him. You can draw a line through that run.
“He’s an improving horse, came in with a handy weight here and he looks best suited to a mile at this stage, we expected much better and he delivered.”
Bold Rex races for Mike de Kock, Gary Grant, Chris Haynes, JJ van der Linden and Noeline Malherbe. He is graduate of Ascot Stud.
