MIKE de Kock, on a trip to Dubai, England and Ireland last week, was invited to the Director’s box at White Hart Lane last Sunday – and got to see one of the best football matches of the season between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
“This was an unbelievable experience. We were given a tour of the stadium and the dressing room before the match, then had lunch and got to watch the match from the best box,” told Mike. “The singing and the banter between the two sets of supporters never stopped, it was fantastic to be a part of it in this famous, intimate stadium.”
Mike was invited by Charlie Pegram, a prominent owner in the UK and Ryan Moore’s agent Tony “Bony” Hind, both fanatical Spurs supporters. Another Spurs devotee who cracked the nod was retired jockey Johnny Geroudis, on holiday in the UK.
Mike and Johnny had the honour of awarding the Man Of The Match Award to ace midfielder Deli Alli, who scored in Spurs’ 2-0 defeat of the log-leaders.
