THE stable hosted a long term service awards party for staff at Randjesfontein last week, at which 13 individuals received certificates for service of over ten years and Patricia Sibeko and Belliot Nkukhu were awarded for 20 years of service.
“Belliot is our night watchman who has saved many horses in the middle of the night,” told Diane de Kock. “Anthony Delpech attended the function to hand out the certificates to all the long term service people, who also received a bonus. It was a great party at the clubhouse and everyone celebrated.
“Mike orchestrated a dance competition too and we discovered some hidden talent amount our riders and grooms. Even Mike performed a little boogie! Kelvin Haarhoff catered for us and is nicknamed ‘The Feedroom’. Many speeches were heard and Mike thanked our great team of staff, saying that every single person is an intricate part of our stable.”
The Summerveld staff also had a ceremony in Durban, at which 10-year service certificates were awarded.
Belliot Nkukhu, horse guard of note, 20 years service.
