The ran just off them in a 1200m sprint at the Vaal first time out and Mike de Kock commented: “I liked the way Red Pomegranate improved. She’s well related, Dean Kannemeyer trained one of her siblings and we’ll see if she can step up against stronger.”
Red Pomegranate is by Nicconi (AUS), a dual Gr1 winning sprinter from the Danzig line, who stands at Widden Stud. She was purchased in Australia by Lionel Cohen and races for the partnership of Arun Chadha and “Elvis” Rippon, the steel magnates.
