FORMER Equus Champion, Bold Silvano, one of four July winners sired by champion Silvano, has made a really pleasing start with his first crop of two-year-olds this season and the Ascot Stud based and bred sire had his fourth winner this season at Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Brett Crawford-trained Boldly Respectable, who races for Delma Sherrell, won second time out at Tuesday, when careering home to land a maiden juvenile plate over 1200m going away.
The Bold Silvano colt, who had run third on debut, is out of the three time winning Kabool mare Respectable Lady, who won up to 1800m.
Bold Silvano’s previous winners include the talented Mike de Kock-trained Bold Rex (a winner of two of his three outings), as well as debut winner Besotted, with Bold Rex holding an entry for the G2 Golden Horseshoe on Vodacom Durban July.
An outstanding racehorse, Bold Silvano won seven times including the G1 Vodacom Durban July and Dubai’s G3 Maktoum Challenge for De Kock, and beat such outstanding gallopers as Pocket Power, River Jetez, Irish Flame, Crowded House, Al Shemali and fellow promising young sire Gitano Hernando.

Good to see the Bold Silvano’s showing promise. I have booked 2 mares to him incl S’il vous Plait (by Silvano) 2 time winning half sister Radisha by Ashaawes. The other mare is out of a half sister to S’il vous Plait (won over R800,000 in stakes).
