FOUR-year-old Master’s Spirit put a few indifferent runs behind him with a fluent 1200m success on the Polytrack at Greyville on Wednesday.
He raced home in solid style under Donovan Dillon and won this MR86 Handicap by a length from Kiss Me Hardy.
Master’s Spirit won a good race, first time after being gelded.
Mike de Kock commented: “We gelded Master’s Spirit after his last run, he needed to be gelded. He was always a nice, promising horse and I think he will be really progressive now that he has had the needed operation.”
Master’s Spirit, by Jet Master from Urubamba, has won four of 13 starts for Sheikh Hamdan of Dubai.
Gaynor Rupert’s Trippi filly Rain In Africa completed the stable double, racing to a five-length win in a Maiden Plate over 1000m, in the hands of Anton Marcus.
