WORK rider Thomas Ncume enjoying his easy win on Grand Jury in a Maiden Plate for Work Riders over 1600m at Turffontein on Saturday.

Thomas has been a regular on our website this year. He, you will remember, was the “all-smiles” guy with the white gloves who looked after one of the stable’s Dubai winners Liquid Mercury in February and was said to have given everyone confidence.

It was Workrider’s Day and Thomas was one of four riders to score at least one winner on the day, the others being Charles Ndlovu, Goodman Dadamasi (2) and Sam Mosia, who booted home four winners.

Grand Jury is a three-year-old filly by Ideal World raced by Mike de Kock in partnership with Chris Gerber.
