TWO-year-old filly Al Hawraa (AUS) was a facile winner of Sunday’s King’s Pact Stakes over 1000m at Scottsville, giving the Sheikh Hamdan/Mike de Kock/Anton Marcus combination another feature winner.

Al Hawraa returned from a two-month break after her debut win in February and assistant trainer Nathan Kotzen said: “She wasn’t fully tuned so this was a good win considering it was short of her best.  She will  come on from this run, she looks smart.”

Al Hawraa is by former Epsom Derby and Champion Stakes winner New Approach, the first stallion ever to sire three juvenile Royal Ascot Stakes winners in the same year. His Yearlings sold for up to £420,000 in 2015 and averaged £162,000.
