VARSFONTEIN-bred filly Alessia loves the Polytrack at Greyville – she posted a follow-up win onthe Durban track on Friday evening, beating Fashion Wear by half a length in a MR67 contest over a mile.
Alessia ran on well under Anthony Delpech and assistant trainer Nathan Kotzen said: “Alessia has scope, she will improve further from this. She’s quite a light-framed filly, but she’s strengthening up nicely now and she will win again. She will go well over more ground too.”
Alessia is owned by Jagessar Limited, for which Alan Cooper is the nominee and Mike de Kock commented: “I met Alan on my travels, he is the racing manager for the Niarchos family. Well done to him!”
Alessia, a three-year-old by Judpot from Alexandra Bi, is closely related to smart graded performer Forest Indigo. She was a R1-million purchase at the National Yearling Sale, 2014.
