MAJMU put up a good piece of work at the 2015 Durban July gallops on Thursday, running over 1600m on the Greyville Polytrack along with stable companion Ataab.
Majmu raced hard against the bridle and clocked 22s flat over the last 200m, impressing expert watchers including just-retired Kevin Shea, who believes she is the horse to beat in next week’s big race and that bookmakers were genourous in offering 9-2 about her chances.
Those odds were since slashed to 4-1.
