May 29, 2015THIS photo of Mubtaahij was released by the New York Racing Association on Wednesday – it shows assistant trainer Trevor Brown on the back of Mike de Kock’s Belmont Stakes runner and meeting his big-race jockey Irad Ortiz.
The 23-year-old jockey is regarded as a future star, he has ridden a number of Gr1 winners and is second on the log at Belmont Park this season.

With all due respect to Mubtaahij regular rider, this is a positive rider switch. A few potential triple crown winners lost because the rider got impatient and pulled the trigger to soon. Irad at his young age has shown he could ride with the best of them and knows Belmont well.
Very positive move by rider also.
thanks for great comments Rafael
