LIGHTLY raced four-year-old colt Johann Strauss (GB) has joined Mike de Kock’s Dubai stable.
A son of High Chaparral from Inchmina, by Cape Cross, he will race in the silks of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, who purchased him from Coolmore in Ireland for a partnership of owners.
Johann Strauss, formerly trained by Aiden O’Brien, won his Maiden over 1400m on the all-weather track at Dundalk; aside from that he placed five times from a further six starts, including a Gr1 second over 1600m on turf at Doncaster.
In his first start for the De Kock stable on 15 February 2015, Johann Strauss was touched off in a Listed race over 1400m on turf in Abu Dhabi.
