BABY Jake Matlala, the former World Flyweight Champion who so sadly died at age 51 last week, paid a visit to Mike de Kock’s stable on the eve of the Charity Mile back in 2007.

Mike paid tribute to Baby Jake, – “a sportsman of true excellence”” – and conveyed his condolences to friends and family of the affable sports legend.
