MIKE de Kock and Form Bloodstock’s Jehan Malherbe have just returned from a short trip to Brazil during which they bought yearlings at the Top Classic Sale in Rio De Janeiro.
They secured six lots in total, two of them bought for “The Vikings” – Norwegian-based owners Erik Lobben and Morten Myhre of Here To Win (Gr 1 Garden Province Stakes) fame.
“We travel far and wide to get the best young horses for our owners and this time we were looking for yearlings by Elusive Quality. We found four nice ones and another by Asiatic Boy,” Mike said.
The lots obtained were:
1) Elusive Quality colt from a Mutakdim mare
2) Asiatic Boy colt from a Ski Champ mare, from the family of Il Sanpietro
3) Elusive Quality filly (Lobben and Myhre)
4) Elusive Quality filly from a Ghadeer mare,from the family of Ki Magee
5) Redatorre filly from a Ghadeer mare (Lobben and Myhre)
6) Elusive Quality colt from Ghadeer mare.
