MENSOORA (headline photo) and Mercurial Brave won Races 3 and 4 respectively at Scottsville on Wednesday, completing the official third Tote double for the stable.
Punters wouldn’t have retired on the winning payout, but Place Accumulator bankers are hard to find these days and with the first two legs secured, the other five legs wouldn’t have posed too much of a problem for the exotic shrewdies.
Mensoora (2-11 favourite), followed up on her debut win when slamming a small field by 3.25-lengths in a Juvenile Plate over 1400m. She looks set for feature success, though the yard would obviously like to test her against stronger before making any predictions of future glory.
Mensoora races for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum’s Al Adyaat (South Africa).
Mercurial Brave also started in the red and won by an exactly the same margin as his stablemate. Now that he’s cracked his Novice, the son of Jet Master could go on to bigger things.
He is owned by a partnership including Cape-based Marsh Shirtliff and Bryn Ressell.
Anthony Delpech rode both the stable’s winners on the day.

Would like to see Mensoora and Happy Valentine fighting it out in the Slipper 🙂
