THREE unraced young colts based at Mike de Kock’s stables at Newmarket, UK, took a stroll after work on the grasslands near the historic training centre on Monday.
“This was the first sunny day in weeks,” reported assistant trainer Steven Jell. “We have 18 horses bases here this season. Two of the youngsters belong to Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, they haven’t been named as yet.
“The third, owned by Mary Slack and Michael Javett, is called Burning Desire.”
Mike will be travelling to Newmarket soon to oversee the preparation of his runners for the UK flat season.
