GIANT’S Causeway filly Emotif will be joining Igugu and others on the flight to Mauritius en route to Dubai soon. She will be going into quarantine in Cape Town after her tremendous debut victory against winners in a Juvenile Plate over 1400m at Greyville on Tuesday evening.
Emotif drew away to win by 4.25 lengths under an easy ride from Anthony Delpech, making an immediate impression with her clear athletic ability.
Delpech said: “She went down really nice and gave me an easy ride. She has plenty of ability.”
Mike de Kock said he would like to have kept her in South Africa, but that Emotif is something special. “It was a big test to see how she would go against winners tonight and she passed it. She is a very nice filly to look forward to. She will come into her own over a mile or 1800m.”
Emotif is owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum of Dubai.
