MIKE de Kock’s 2012 Dubai campaign kicks off with four runners at Meydan Racecourse on Thursday.
Anearobio. Mahbooba (headline photo, left), Hunting Tower and Wonder Lawn will step out for the yard at the first Carnival meeting of the season.
Mike flew in from Dubai to Cape Town on Wednesday to oversee the final touches to his runners on Saturday at Kenilworth and reported as follows on the four Carnival runners.
ANEAROBIA (Race 5: Handicap, All-Weather, $US110,000 1600m):
“Anaerobia is showing us excellent work, we’re expecting good things from him. If he brings his work to the racetrack he will be right there.”
MAHBOOBA (Race 6: Al Rashidiya, Turf, $US125,000, 1800m):
“Mahbooba is likely to find this trip too short. She’s doing good work at home though and should give a good account of herself.”
HUNTING TOWER AND WONDER LAWN (Race 7: $US120,000, 1400m):
“Both the old horses will be in need of their runs, we’re hoping for good runs, perhaps Quartet chances for punters.”

Very nice to se Mahbooba show her class.
But also very predictable to see that these expensive horses from Argentina again and again show to be down the drain.
