TOREADOR filly Going On Thirty (photo) found plenty of support before finishing unplaced on her 1200m debut recently, but with more experience and a good front-running ride from Anthony Delpech she put it all together in a Maiden Plate over 1450m at Turffontein on Thursday, winning at 2-1.
Right Approach gelding Right Beauty made it a double for the stable, winning smartly from well off the pace in a MR88 Handicap over 1600m, also in the hands of Delpech.
“Going On Thirty got left at the start and she was drawn badly first time out. She shows us good work at home and she can run, she’s still learning about racing,” said Delpech, who booted her home for the partnership of Greg Blank, Hannes Barnard, Philip Kahan, Jeff Shill, Millie Maloun and JJ van der Linden.

“We are very happy to have another winner sired by Toreador, he is doing very well,” said Blank.
Right Beauty (16-10), who showed up well in a 1200m pipe-opener last month, ran on strongly to win from Echohawk after turning for home 10 lengths off the call.
Delpech commented: “Mike instructed me to drop him out for am run and I was worried coming into the straight because he was on the wrong leg, but he got into stride and I was happy we could deliver. He’s still a bit weak but he’s a good sort, I think he will see out ten furlongs.”
Right Beauty is owned by Larry Nestadt, Mike de Kock, Sam Hackner and the golfing duo of World Number 2 Lee Westwood and his manager “Chubby Chandler”, who will be visiting our shores for the Sun City Million Dollar Golf Tournament in December.
