SILVER FLYER (photo), a winner at his second attempt in a 1400m Plate race against winners at Greyville on Tuesday evening, has been supplemented to the entries for the Grade 1 Premier’s Champion Stakes over 1600m at the same course on 30 July.
The R200 000 purchase by Silvano is still inexperienced and he shifted out and changed legs over the last 300m, but Anthony Delpech kept him focused and his turn of foot was impressive. When he puts it all together he’ll be one to make quick progress through the ranks.
Silver Flyer is owned by Mauritian-based Serge Seenyen of Mr Brock fame and Mike conveyed his good wishes, saying. “Silver Flyer is a promising sort and it was worth supplementing him.”
Mushreq and Ginipre are two other progressive sorts who have been entered for the R500,000 contest.
