RIVER JETEZ is in “good order” for Sunday’s Group 1 Singapore International Airlines Cup over 2000m at Kranji Racecourse.
“On her work and condition I give her a fighting chance,” reported assistant trainer Trevor Brown on Sunday morning.
Jockey Bernard Fayd’Herbe took River Jetez for a piece of fast work at Kranji on Friday and was excited about his mount.
Fayd’Herbe said: ““I’m very happy with her. She’s much more relaxed than she was in Hong Kong. For some reason, she never settled there (Hong Kong). I think it’s because she was all caged up and she is a claustrophobic mare. I am very happy with her work. He concluded: “That’s it. If she’s not fit enough, she’ll never be fit.”
River Jetez cantered on the polytrack on Saturday and Brown was on duty as early as ever with his pre-race preparations on Sunday, a beautiful day in Singapore. A crowd of near 35 000 is expected on course.
