IGUGU arches her neck while being led around the parade ring at Kenilworth on Wednesday.
The three-year-old filly by Galileo was being given a look at the environment in which she will be ogled by excited Cape racegoers before the start of Saturday’s Grade 1 Avontuur Estate Fillies Guineas. She faces a much anticipated duel with the unbeaten Cape star, Ebony Flyer, from the Justin Snaith stable.
Igugu is in the care of Diane and Mathew de Kock, who also made the trip on Wednesday and are excited about her prospects.
“Igugu travelled well and she is relaxed,” Diane said on Thursday morning.
