Joined September 2010: Link Man
LINK Man, the impressive winner of last season’s Grade 1 Gold Medallion over 1200m at Scottsville is another exciting prospect for Mike de Kock’s stable who raced with distinction for trainer Denis Drier at Summerveld.

He defeated a power-packed line-up in the Medallion including Charles Laird’s highly rated Sports Coach, Alistair Gordon’s speed merchant Tuscan Sky and Mike’s own classic contender Kavanagh.
Link Man is a son of The Alchemy Stud’s Toreador and Mike said: “He’s a really beautiful looking horse but Ithat’s all I know at this stage. Like Badger Lake he’s just getting used to his new surroudings. The long-term plan with him includes Dubai and we’ll see how he shapes on the Highveld this summer. We might look at a race like the Graham Beck Stakes for him to start.”
Link Man is owned by Larry Nestadt, Greg Blank and Gary Burgh. He’s won three of four starts and has been rested since his big win on 29 May.
Mike added: “Denis Drier really knows what he’s doing and I am thankful for his support. Link Man arrived in superb condition.”
