Runner comments, 13 July

Betway Ambassador Mike de Kock has two runners at the Turffontein meeting on Saturday.

Officer in Command and Volare E Mambo will face the starter in Race 5 over 1600m. They have been tipped 1-2 by Computaform, but Mike advised caution and said: “They are both well exposed. They’re in the right type of race, both have eachway chances but neither are bankers. Officer in Command was coming along the right way but his saddle slipped during his last run. He was not persisted with, so that run can be ignored. He is drawn wide this time and that is a concern. Volare E Mambo looks best suited to 1600m, she is doing well and should be thereabouts, but runners like Thunee Playa, Chestnut Bomber and American Biscuit also make some appeal.”
