We are sad to report the passing of Oupa Lucas Mosala, one of our long-time grooms in the stable. Lucas died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the Summerveld grooms hostel last week. He was 55 years old.
Lucas worked for us for 14 years and his recent horses were Courageous Cat and East Coast. 4Racing held a memorial for Lucas at Randjesfontein on Wednesday and he will be buried on Saturday, 8 June.
Lucas was born in the Free State. He is survived by his girlfriend and two brothers.
Rest in peace, good man!
