Weekend runner comments

Betway Ambassador Mike de Kock has offered some pointers to Saturday’s meeting at Turffontein and Sunday’s meeting at Scottsville.

He has entered five runners at Turffontein:

Race 2, 1160m: “Khethiwe’s Destiny is a nice filly by Buffalo Bill Cody. We haven’t pushed her hard for this first start, but I do expect her to be competitive because she is quite a speedy sort. VJ’s Angel was impressive when winning last time and looks hard to beat.”

Race 5, 1600m: “East Coast ran below his best last time, but his rating is too high as it is. He is perhaps better suited to the shorter distance, we’ll see. Hoping to see something better from him.”
 
Race 6, 1600m: “Two nice fillies here. Sea Anemone is in a good space, she is doing very well and should maintain her level of form, a good run is expected. Sharapova returned from a rest last time and ran well when she needed it a bit. She has a handy galloping weight and should be competitive off that. I’d include both fillies in the exotic bets.

Race 7, 1100m: “Gocekwithlove is a nice filly, I like her. She is going to win her share of races and we give her a chance here. Don’t ignore, she is one to keep an eye on.”

Scottsville Sunday:
Race 6, 1750m: “Mary’s Greenlight is very fit and well. She is drawn on the outside, but she does finish her races off well. She has a winning chance.”
