Race 2, 1600m: “Sparkling Jubilee ran a cracker first time out, she was beaten a short head. Muzi Yeni has taken another ride, I guess if you want loyalty, you’d better buy a dog. He clearly thinks he has a better chance on Cape Lights. But our filly will win races, she is doing well although this race comes fairly quick after her first one, and we’re set to go close.”
Race 3: “Tyrconnell has unfortunately injured himself and will be withdrawn.”
Race 4, 1600m: “Mike’s Chick enjoys this course and distance, she ran gamely after a rest last time and got second. She’s done well at home since then and should give another good account of herself, has a chance. Definitely Maybe has a ridiculous merit rating, not until she drops another 15 punds will she be competitive again, so she has a stiff task here.”
Race 5, 2000m: “Motown Magic needed last week’s run as we noted, he finished just over seven lengths off. That was a satisfactory comeback over a short trip but he needs another run to come to hand. He is better suited to 2000m, has a place chance but I do feel he will need this outing as well.”
Race 6, 2000m: “Vengeance Forever just recently joined the stable, it’s still a learning curve with him. We’re taking the gear off him, we’d like to see how he goes. I think he has a win in him, but will improve with this run behind him. Angelsea is very well weighted in this contest and she’s doing well at home. She’s won over 1750m and if she sees out the extra here, can go close. Definite inclusion.
Race 8, 1450m: “Mr Bodacious hasn’t delivered, he’s a moderate sort and I cannot give any confidence about him.”
Race 9, 1450m: “We’ve aways rated Arividicio, he’s a decent gelding. He ran to a very high rating last time in a strong Graduation Plate won by Prophet. The handicapper couldn’t penalise him because of the conditions of the race and he’ll jump from barrier one. He has a good winning chance, our best runner for the day.”
