A mile is Jaipur Jewel’s game

Jaipur Jewel (Twice Over) posted an overdue first win over 1600m at Turffontein Saturday, galloping on well for a two-length success in the hands of Diego De Gouveia.

With a pedigree chock-a-block with Grade 1 stayers, Mike has tried Jaipur Jewel up to 2000m, but he’s proven to be more at home over 1400m and a mile recently and on this showing can win again.

“Thanks to Arun Chadha and the ASSM Syndicate for their patience with this horse, I’m hoping he’ll go on now that we’ve got him racing over the middle distances,” Mike said.

Jaipur Jewel has a smart half-brother on offer at the National Yearling Sale next week. His name is Festival Of Fire, a really nice specimen from the mare colt called Festival Of Fire (Lot 352), by Rafeef from Defining Beauty by Jallad, photo below.
