Former South African team-mates Callan Murray and Mathew de Kock combined at Geelong Racecourse today to win with Oracolo (30-1), trained by the Robbie Griffiths/Mathew de Kock partnership at Cranbourne.
Their blog reported: “After a few frustratingly slow starts in his previous runs, ORACOLO jumps well today, finds a striking position, hits the front and crosses the line a winner with the guidance of jockey, Callan Murray.”
“Great to have Callan ride a winner for the Griffiths de Kock team. Callan has had a lot of success with the de Kock family and its wonderful to see the combination at it again! Congratulations to all winning connections.
Callan rode six Gr1 winners for Mike de Kock when Mathew was still his father’s assistant, including Takingthepeace (photo of connections) and the star colt, Rafeef.
