MIKE de Kock is in Cape Town to saddle Due Diligence in the Gr1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas and Frosted Gold in the Gr2 Green Point Stakes on Saturday.
Both travelled well and Mike said: “Due Diligence must have a chance. I expected more from her when she took third in the Gr3 Fillies Mile to Gee For Go recently, but that formline was well franked when the second horse, Miss Elegance, won a competitive Progress Plate by more than eight lengths at the Vaal yesterday.
“Frosted Gold is very well, he’s in a good space but he’s in the big league here and he’s out at the ratings. If we are to go for the Queen’s Plate with him, he needs to show us he’s up to it with a good run here.”
