“TAKINGTHEPEACE is fit and well and she’ll be right there today,” Mathew de Kock said about the stable’s popular Gr1 winner who will contest Race 3 over 1800m on the inside track today.
“She’s come on from her last run (4.30-lengths behind Cascapedia in a Gr3 feature after a rest) and we’re looking forward to her run,” he added.
Mathew noted about the stable’s other runners:
“Glamorous Scandal (Race 1) is in a tough field of only five horses, she will earn a stake it will probably only a minor place.”
“All we can hope for with Excalibur’s Return (Race 2) is a place.”
“Fariha (Race 2) is a nice filly, should be in the first three.
“Hakeem (Race 4) is very well, come on from his last run but he’s drawn really badly, we’re just hopeful of a good run.”
“Mujallad (Race 5) is a classy horse whose work has been exceptional, but he’s drawn in the car park, hard from there.”
“Gimme Hope Johanna (Race 6) is in a competitive field, but she is consistent and gets a sex allowance, will be thereabouts.”
“The Dazzler (Race 7) comes off a break and a wind operation, but he is doing well and has a Quartet chance.”
“La Linea (Race 8), will need it after a long rest, and she’s drawn wide. Place prospects at best.”
“Mutrib (Race 9), should stay all day and we may have found the right race for him here, he has a good chance today.”
“Anjob (Race 10) has a strong eachway chance in what looks like a moderate field.”
