THE two Mike de Kock runners at Meydan on Thursday evening are Smiling Blue Eyes and Bold Rex.

Smiling Blue Eyes (photo) makes her debut in the Gr2 Cape Verdi and Mike said: “She makes her first appearance in a competitive race. She’s showing us some good work but she will improve for it, the race will show us where we stand with her. She pulls a bit, she hasn’t been straight forward to train.”

Bold Rex ran a good race from a wide draw last week and he’s back for another run in Race 8 over 2000m on turf. 

“Bold Rex ran on over 1800m in South Africa so we do expect him to see it out. He should run well tonight.”
