MUBTAAHIJ, the world travelling racer, punched his ticket to the Breeders’ Cup Classic with a score in the Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita in late September. The five-year-old has over $4.5 million in earnings thus far and we’ll be watching his run tomorrow for obvious reasons.

The son of Dubawi moved into Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert’s barn this July, and joins a virtual Baffert armada heading into battle in the Classic. His stablemates are the world’s richest horse and defending Classic champ Arrogate, Pacific Classic victor Collected and Travers Stakes winner West Coast.

Mubtaahij was a €450 000 purchase for Jehan Malherbe’s Form Bloodstock at the Arqana Sale in France in August 2013.
